Greta and Daan wanted their wedding day to reflect who they are, so they incorporated some unique and meaningful elements into the celebration.

“Before the ceremony, the wedding party was divided into men’s and women’s groups to take part in sacred rituals. These intimate rituals were followed by a traditional lakeside ceremony, which flowed seamlessly into the most beautiful wedding day – filled with unforgettable memories.”

CEREMONY
The entire celebration unfolded in one idyllic location. Vows were exchanged on the lakefront, followed by drinks with guests on the lawn.

RECEPTION
The reception took place in an elegant marquee and function space, offering sweeping lake views. Staying on-site allowed the festivities to flow seamlessly, creating a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere from start to finish.

DETAILS
“We divided our wedding party into men’s and women’s groups to take part in sacred pre-ceremony rituals. The men threaded a nut onto a leather lash and placed it on Daan. This was followed by a whisky toast from a ceremonial horn, they then marched together to the lake. Each woman carefully sewed a rose petal onto Greta’s veil, offering a blessing. Heirloom jewellery passed down from grandmothers was then placed on her, layering generations of love and legacy.”
