The Fernery @ Diamond Waters – Dunbogan.

Pete’s uncle and aunty own the beautiful Diamond Waters Treehouse Retreat in Dunbogan. After spending Christmas there and falling in love with the treehouses, gardens, and stunning backdrop of the Camden River and North Brother Mountain, Caity and Peter asked if they could have our wedding there. Peter and Kerry happily agreed, and they began planning for a wedding nine months later.

CEREMONY
“We held our ceremony outdoors on the river’s edge. It was a beautiful, sunny day – just as we’d hoped. It was a family affair, with Caity walking down the aisle with her parents, and Pete’s two brothers standing beside him as groomsmen. Our friend Jeremy officiated the ceremony, and our mums signed as witnesses.”

RECEPTION
“Our reception was held in The Fernery at Diamond Waters. We hired furniture for a cocktail-style reception across the garden and hall. We styled the venue ourselves, keeping decorations minimal to let the incredible garden shine as the main feature. We agreed the key ingredients for a great wedding are good food, booze, and music.

Our wedding band was incredible and gave the reception a festival vibe rather than a traditional wedding feel. The night was filled with dancing, laughter, delicious food, amazing people – and of course, love. It was more than we could have imagined and the most fun we’ve ever had.”

DETAILS
“Wanting to maximise time with friends and family after the ceremony, we did a ‘first look’ and portrait session beforehand. That way, we could head straight into the reception and start celebrating with our guests.”
